“Through pride we are deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us, something is out of tune.”-Carl Jung

It can be difficult to identify what is truly out of tune in our lives, in order to plan a course for positive change. I have spent the better part of my years intersecting the philosophical, psychological, and spiritual questions of life, with the everyday reality of navigating one’s own lived experience. When our thoughts or feelings become overwhelming, when demands stress our resources, when our relationships are in conflict, when we don’t feel supported-we may need help finding another way.

I believe in the power of connection, and approach the counseling session with a commitment to care and compassion, FOR YOU. To help enlarge yourself, to grow and heal, to ‘kindle a light of meaning’ as said by Jung. Through unconditional positive regard, an accurate understanding of your experiences, and a genuineness in the hope and optimism I have FOR YOU, our work begins together.

My history of working in a variety of mental health settings such as hospitals, community clinics, government agencies, residential facilities, private practices, and non-profit organizations, has helped me to better target the skills and strategies that are most effective in promoting change and improving well-being, specific to YOU. I have experience in psychosocial oncology, community counseling, and behavioral support consultation for adults and adolescents, as well as care providers. I utilize strengths-based, solutions-focussed assessments; knowing a diagnosis does not define you. My areas of practice have included: coping with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, healing from trauma and/or abuse, relational challenges, grief, searching for meaning, multicultural contexts, neurodiversity supports, and many more concerns. My therapeutic approaches include person-centered, existential-humanistic, mindful self compassion, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, and have my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Vocational Rehabilitation. I am currently under supervision while working towards an independent license as a LPC.
